NTUST’s International Collaboration Data Gathering for SDG

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST, Taiwan Tech) participates in international collaboration on gathering and measuring data for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university submits institutional and sustainability data to international bodies such as Times Higher Education (THE) and QS every year, and gathers, analyses and feeds back SDG-related data together with overseas universities, governments and local communities through its University Social Responsibility (USR) international engagement and its International Cooperation Seed Program.

1.Participation in International Sustainability and Impact Ranking Submissions
  • Regular data compilation and submission: Each year, the Center for Sustainability Development and Institutional Research compiles campus and social sustainability data across departments and submits it to THE Impact Rankings/Sustainability Impact Ratings and the QS World University Rankings (including sustainability indicators). The data covers indicators such as energy use, water resource management, waste and resource recycling, greenhouse gas inventory and carbon footprint reduction (categories one through three), gender equality, social impact, and international cooperation. The greenhouse gas inventory report is also published for review by international evaluation agencies and the public. The submitted results are also fed back into the university as a reference for sustainable governance and resource allocation.
